Leadership Lessons from the AT

After 30 years in the corporate world, Tim honed new leadership lessons inspired by a life-long dream of hiking the 2,190 mile Appalachian Trail. Tim completed his journey from Georgia to Maine on December 7th, 2019.  Check out the videos below as he checked in from the trail.

Tim started the Georgia leg of his thru-hike of the 2,190 mile Appalachian Trail in April, 2019. Check out this video from Day 1 and follow him on Instagram and on his blog below for posts on leadership lessons from the trail.

Tim finished the southern leg in Lexington, Virginia, hiking a total of 810 miles from Springer Mountain. Here is a video update from June 16th, part way through this leg of his hike. After a brief break and a transition north, Tim is now doing a section in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont. Watch for updates on his Instagram feed.

Tim shares another update on August 25th where he talks about how he is managing the mental challenge of continuing after completing half of the total AT. He recently completed the trail through the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and part of New Hampshire.

An update from Maine on September 21, where Tim talks about completing "the hardest mile" in the Mahoosuc range. Tim is now continuing on to Mt. Katahdin before doubling back to complete the last legs of the trail.

Tim provides an October update from Pennsylvania and the challenges and humor in pushing forward on soggy days.

Thoughts from New York on taking in the view as the weather turns colder as of Nov 17th. Tim has two small sections remaining (one in NY where he is as of this post and one in VA) to complete his hike at this point.

Tim's 2,192 mile thru-hike is now complete. Watch his December check-in from his final 48 hours on the trail.
